Our team of nine in-house valuers have built an enviable reputation over the years, for providing prompt, accurate & professional service to our clients. Our daily exposure in the marketplace, supported by our auction division, which conducts over 180 plant & equipment sales per annum, means we are well aware of market trends & ensures our clients of up to date & accurate information, Confidentiality & discretion are always assured.

Jamie first joined MGS in 1991 where he was trained in NSW to become an Auctioneer and Valuer. Over 20 years later, Jamie is the Director of MGS and has gained invaluable experience in conducting valuations and auctions. Jamie also has served 4 years as a Board Member of The Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers. Jamie won the Society of Auctioneers & Appraisers General Auctioneer of the year award in 2011.

The Society of Auctioneers & Appraisers (SA) Inc. (MSAA)

Is the professional body representing the specialist interests of Auctioneers and Appraisers and provides representation for: Real Estate, Livestock and General Auctioneers & Appraisers through Nationally Accredited Training and Competition by way of the Messenger Community News~Mortgage Choice Golden Gavel Awards and supports excellence and technical education in Schools with the Messenger Community News~Mortgage Choice School's Auction Idol Competition.

Our Members appraise, sell, auction and value Real Estate (Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Rural), Chattels, Plant and Machinery, Antiques, Fine Art and Livestock and many other varied categories which are outlined in our Membership directory search.

We have a current Membership in excess of 300 professionals which represent the Principals of the Key Real Estate and General Auctioneering and Appraising Companies in metropolitan and country South Australia, including the Major Franchise Groups as well as Independents.

Auctioneers & Valuers Association Australia (Inc.) (AVAA)

The AVAA is governed by a Constitution ratified by The Australian Securities and Investments Commission. All members are also bound by a Code of Ethics. Any member who breaches the AVAA's Code of Ethics is liable to disciplinary action by the Association.

The AVAA is an industry based, self-governing body. Membership is voluntary.

Membership comprises Corporations, Sole Traders, Auctioneer, Valuer, Associate and Life members. All categories of members must be practising Auctioneers and/or Valuers. Members have required statutory levels of experience and are encouraged to pursue ongoing education.

Corporate and Sole Trader auctioneer and valuer members are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Corporate and Sole Trader auctioneer members are required to maintain a Trust Account which is subject to an annual audit. An Audit Certificate has to be presented to the AVAA annually.

AVAA members are committed to providing the highest levels of professionalism in their dealings with client.
